GET TO KNOW

Our Pastor

Kim and Bill Fisackerly (pronounced Fi-SACK-er-ly) have enjoyed 40 wonderful years of marriage, which Rev. Bill playfully describes as “not long enough!” They first met in 1982 at our United Methodist Children’s Camp in Brandon, FL, where they served on the summer team for the 5th and 6th grade camps. Kim, originally from West Virginia, moved to Miami at age three and grew up in the Kendall area, becoming a lifelong Dolphins fan and even holding season tickets during the 1974 “Perfect Season!” She is talented in music, drama, writing, and baking, and excels at making people feel welcome. Currently, she works as a Weight Watchers leader/coach and in customer service at Publix, but her greatest joy has been raising their three children—Bethany, Allyson, and Wil—and being Mimi to her grandson Ollie. Rev. Bill, born in Tampa to Bill and Annabelle Fisackerly, who was also a Methodist pastor, grew up serving at six different churches across Florida, from Tampa to Havana. The couple married in 1984 and moved to Atlanta for Bill to attend the Candler School of Theology, where he served as an assistant pastor at Cokesbury UMC. Their journey has since taken them to Deltona, Sopchoppy/Ochlockonee Bay, Estero, Port Charlotte, Tampa, Marco Island, and now Bonita Springs. Rev. Bill enjoys playing guitar, fishing, disc golf, telling jokes, and spending time with Kim. He is passionate about finding innovative ways to share the Gospel and inspiring others to embrace and spread their faith. And let’s not forget, he loves mangos!

Kindly leave your contributions on the table in the Narthex. Thank you for your generosity.

5th Sunday Potlucks

Potlucks are special occasions where we gather as a community to share a meal, express gratitude, and strengthen our bonds of faith. To make this event an unforgettable culinary experience, we invite you all to bring a dish of your choice.
